Reading and Writing Through Weather

In my "Advanced Project Based Learning Class" I worked through the process of developing a project based on the 6 A's.  These A's, which are commonly used within the High Tech High community, are academic rigor, authenticity, applied learning, active exploration, adult connections, and assessment practices.  This narrative piece describes the process my First Graders experienced as they wrote and published non-fiction books on seasons to share with a Kindergarten class.

Differentiation in a Primary Classroom

Is differentiation really possible in a primary classroom?  This was the constant question the resonated in my head as I began my "Implementing Inclusive Classrooms" class.  This piece is a demonstration of my journey to differentiate instruction beginning with math lessons to better accommodate each student's learning styles.
